Leo LeFay is the organizer and manager of Clarion MMA.  He is the instructor of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA and childrens’ classes.

He is an active competitor in both Gi and No-gi Brazillian Jiu Jitsu tournaments.  Leo is currently training and seeking advancement in jiu jitsu, judo, and kickboxing.

He is constantly seeking improvement and this has led him to travel extensively to train with some of the best instructors in the world.  His training has led him coast to coast in the US, up into Canada, as well as to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Tokyo Japan.

Leo began his formal martial arts training in 1991 with Kenmpo B, which is a style blending traditional Kempo karate with American Kenpo.   In 1994 Leo continued his training as he joined the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.  While enlisted, he furthered his training in American Kenpo and also learned several new skills, including military hand-to-hand combat, fixed bayonet combat, Military Operations on Urban Terrain and crowd control/riot suppression.

Since starting Clarion MMA in 2009, Leo has been the head coach and cornerman for numerous competitors.  He has been in the corner for countless Brazilian Jiu-jitsu matches, MMA Fights, Muay Thai fights, Kickboxing Matches, Judo tournaments and Karate tournaments.

He has put his knowledge to work as a referee for many local tournaments as well as the North American Grappling Association and the professional jiu-jitsu organization, Fight 2 Win.
